Itinerary:

Day 1: Arusha – Momella Gate (1500m) – Miriakamba Hut (2500m)

• Duration: Approx. 5–7 hours of hiking
• Vegetation Type: Forest
• Highlights:
• Start with a 30-minute drive to the Ngongongare Gate.
• Wildlife spotting (Giraffes, Zebras, Waterbuck, Buffaloes) within Arusha National Park.
• Hike to Miriakamba Hut, passing Ngarenanyuki River and a waterfall.
• Arrive at Miriakamba Hut for tea, coffee, and a beautiful sunset.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hut.

Day 2: Miriakamba Hut (2500m) – Saddle Hut (3500m)

• Duration: 4–5 hours of hiking
• Vegetation Type: Forest Zone
• Highlights:
• Steep path through forest zone with potential bird and wildlife sightings.
• View of Mount Meru Crater and Ash Tray.
• Lunch at Saddle Hut (3500m).
• Acclimatization option: Hike to Little Meru (3820m) for fantastic views.
• Early dinner and rest in preparation for the midnight summit attempt.

Day 3: Saddle Hut (3500m) – Meru Summit (4566m) – Miriakamba Hut (2500m)

• Duration: Approx. 9–12 hours of hiking
• Vegetation Type: Alpine Desert
• Highlights:
• Midnight tea and biscuits before the summit push.
• Steep ascent to Rhino Point (3800m) and Cobra Point (4350m).
• Reach the summit (4566m) for spectacular views, including Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days.
• Spend time at the summit for photos.
• Descend back to Saddle Hut, then to Miriakamba Hut and finally Momella Gate for check-out.
• Return transport to Arusha or the airport.

End of Service:

• If successful, you’ll receive a certificate for reaching the summit (4566m).
• Option to combine this trek with a safari or Zanzibar beach holidays.
